Ibn Majed

This is the fifth book in the series “Do You Know Who I Am?”, which celebrates great historical figures from the Arab world. Ibn Majid, one of the most important marine scientists and astronomers in the world, lived in the fifteenth century AD in one of the United Arab Emirates. He learned the art and science of sailing, and spent his life in research and in developing tools and machines for sailing that were ahead of their time. The text is written in first person.
